St Mabyn Pre-School

The Pre-School team have held two most enjoyable, and successful fundraisers recently. The fun Quiz Night at the end of January was just that - lots of fun and it also made over £400, fund-raising made easy! Then the Valentine's Day Brunch provided yet another occasion when the Village Hall was full of laughter and fun, beautifully decorated and  very appetising smells wafting through the air! The made-to-order waffles were especially popular and kept the chefs in the kitchen very busy and the waitresses, of all ages! dressed in fetching red costumes kept a great many customers well supplied. What a super sociable occasion, final figures not available at going to press but it all bodes well for the continuing of this very successful pre-school.

St Mabyn and Helland Conservatives

The Branch held a most enjoyable Quiz Evening in the Village Hall with Chairman John McLachlan acting as quizmaster. St Mabyn resident Sian Flynn, the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate led a team and members from other Branches also attended. There was a good deal of hilarity with some of the quiz sections, as those present were drawn from a wide area and age range. A licensed bar, and delicious refreshments all helped the thought processes too! Members activities will now be concentrating on the run up to the General Election and anyone interested in helping or becoming involved is invited to contact John on 01208 - 841831
