St. Mabyn Parish Council

The Parish Council met in December and welcomed newly elected councillor Barry Kent. A parishioner raised the issue of the muddy surface to a public right of way and the evidence of electric fence wire; the landowner will be contacted.
The minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed and three planning applications were supported. Accounts received were presented for payment and approved. The Council set the precept for the 2007/08 year with a slight increase from the previous year.
The Playing Field committee continue to obtain quotations for the development of a toddler play area and hard surface for basketball/football. Thanks are expressed to Mrs Angela Brown for her dedication, advice and input into this project.
The Parish Council have contacted the County Council requesting that safety measures are increased along the section of the B3266 at Longstone junction.
The January meeting was cancelled so the next meeting will now be held on Tuesday 6th February at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
