Bell Ringing

St Mabyn has no band of Bell Ringers. The church is supported with its bell ringing by one resident in St Mabyn Peter Barrett, and relies on ringers from St Tudy, and Lanteglos to come along on Sundays to St Mabena. They are stretched to their limit sometimes ringing in 3 churches on a Sunday – this has now become impossible. The situation is dire. St Mabyn needs new ringers to come along and enjoy a wonderful pastime and to be instructed by Andrew Reeves who is regarded as the best instructor in North Cornwall. In a friendly, encouraging environment bell ringing is great fun – it does have its serious side too! If you would like to drop in and meet the group you can do so on Wed 5th 7.30 pm at Advent or Wed 12th 7.00 at Lanteglos. If you would like to know more telephone Peter Barrett on 841342 who is a novice ringer and still having fun!.
