Harvest Festival

This years Harvest Festival Service, conducted by the Reverend Margaret Millson assisted by the Reverend John Brendon-Cooke was particularly well attended by residents and visitors alike. The farming community were out in force, giving heartfelt thanks for the eventual conclusion of the long harvesting process which for some time had been in jeopardy. Members of the congregation were delighted to have the organ, damaged in the floods in May, back in action and played by Marjorie Hamley and the traditional favourite hymns rang out in the midst of the internal scaffolding as the interior restoration nears the end. Churchwarden John Lobb led the prayers and many stayed afterwards to enjoy the usual refreshments and fellowship
