St Mabyn Summer Church Fete.

This year's Fete is to be held on The Green at St Mabyn, on Saturday 16th June at 2.30pm. The Band of St Mabyn Bell ringers will introduce the afternoon commencing at 2.00pm. The Fete will be opened by The Archdeacon of Bodmin The Venerable Audrey Elkington at 2.30pm. For the entertainment this year we are delighted to welcome back the local Scottish Country Dancing Group and our own pupils from St Mabyn School who will perform the ever popular Maypole Dancing. Other events include Traditional Punch and Judy, Sumo Wrestling, suits provided for the competitors, Children Sports Competitions,  and at the end of the afternoon the Tug-o-War event which usually ends with many of the crowd joining in to enjoy the fun!! Cream teas will be served under the Chestnut Tree all afternoon. A wide range of stalls from Preserves to Cakes, Books to Toys and Games, from Plants to Tombola, Raffles, Bric a Brac and many more. Any donations/gifts towards any of these stalls would be most appreciated and welcomed. There will be the collectors calling around the village a few days before the Fete as usual, thank you. Please make a note in your diary, and come along to enjoy a great family afternoon with us all.
There is disabled access onto the Green, and the Fete will go ahead if the day is Wet!! (we will use the Church and The Village Hall), All proceeds go towards St Mabyn Church Funds. Plenty of Car Parking is available on the day.
