The Friends of St Mabyn Church

Meal with Wine
 (vegetarian option available)
Followed by a talk, which will take place on Friday 27th November in St Mabyn Village Hall, 12noon for 12.30.  Tickets £12 - £10 for Members.
Speaker will be Richard Jenkin of St Mabyn, who has very kindly agreed to talk on his recent spell as science teacher at the Henry Nginza School in the township of Kwazakhele, Port Elizabeth, where the children often come to school hungry but are keen to learn.  The area has great poverty – 50% unemployment plus AIDS/TB/alcoholism etc.  The school has very few resources but the teachers are dedicated.  Although they lack material wealth in the township they are happy because they care for each other and have a strong faith.  Richard’s talk will also include projected photographs.

To reserve a place please ring Liz or Gage on 01208 841378, or Audrey on 0120 841607.
