Its a Knock Out competition
It was a fun-packed day at St Mabyn with the Its a Knock Out competition giving people a great chance to let off steam. From a wet race, a slippery pole, flour-throwing and a tug- of -war, the event ensured that many involved came to a sticky end.
Organised by the village's Young Farmers' Association and St Mabyn scouts, the event helped to raise money for a new set of toilets in the scouts' clubhouse.
With stalls, fortune-telling and a bouncy castle, both young and old alike were able to join in the fun, whether it involved getting wet or not.
The nine teams of six who took part helped to raise £500.
Brian Farmer, chairman of the scouts, said: "Everyone who took part really enjoyed the event and many have asked us to make it an annual event."
