Second homes in St.Mabyn

According to the 2001 Census, 8.2% of dwellings in North Cornwall are second residences/holiday accommodation. This compares to 4.6% ofdwellings in Cornwall, 1.8% of dwellings in the South West and 0.6% of dwellings in England. The South West has the highest proportion of secondhomes of any region in England, and North Cornwall has the third highest proportion of second homes in the South West of all districts/unitaryauthorities. North Cornwall District Council’s Council Tax records in 2004 give a figure of 10.2% of all dwellings being second homes.
