Garden Safari
St Mabyn Garden Safari 6th - 7th May
St Mabyn Garden Club are organising a Garden Safari in aid of the Church Restoration Appeal over the Bank Holiday weekend and there is an excellent choice of wonderful gardens to visit (several gardens will be open both days but there will be other gardens open on just one) Start at the Village Hall (plenty of parking in the field behind, thanks to James Mutton) to buy your entry ticket and map; a number of gardens are within easy walking distance and then the car will be necessary to carry on safari! Cream teas, and plant sales will be various locations and in the Hall itself there will be an exhibition of paintings for sale - our grateful thanks to John Blight of the Camelford Gallery for organising this. Contributing artists are donating a percentage of sales to the Appeal, and the Famous Slate will also be available for viewing. Start at 2pm each day.
