Jazz Concert

Friday 13th - the day rained stopped play on the village green and the day St Mabyn Church became the venue for the Friends of St Mabyn second jazz concert. The Bodmin Community College Jazz Orchestra rocked, rolled and raised the roof!! The musicians finished to a standing ovation, picnics were packed up and dancers went off home to soak their toes..............Such a pity more people didn't brave the weather to join the fun in the warm and friendly atmosphere of St Mabyn Church as it was a night to remember. Particularly memorable was Mike Haywood demonstrating that he has skills other than with a paintbrush - much to the delight of many of the ladies present!
The Friends of St Mabyn Church have divided the proceeds of the concert between the Bodmin Community College Jazz Orchestra for overheads and expenses and St Mabyn Church Restoration Appeal.
