St Mabyn Pre School

LITTLE helpers learned the importance of being tidy during Clean Cornwall Week. Children and staff at St Mabyn Pre School donned tabards and used long-handled picks to tidy up their community park. "It's really good for the children to learn the importance of putting your litter in the bin and not dropping it around," said pre-school supervisor Angela Brown. "You can never learn too early."
Stephanie Tiplady represented North Cornwall District Council for the event, which was recognised by in an Environment Agency awards ceremony. "It's important to raise awareness of the problems caused by litter, and we like to support community events," she said. "The kids did a great job!"
Mums reported that for days their little ones were very critical of anything left on the ground.
