Friends of St Mabyn Church
Giles Clotworthy, a renowned raconteur and bon viveur, worked for the National Trust in the South West for 25 years. Among his responsibilities was the role of promoting and interpreting the houses, gardens and coastline in its ownership. So he has a unique knowledge of its properties throughout Devon and Cornwall. He read Fine Art at the Courtauld Institute.
Though retired for some time he remains a passionate supporter of the National Trust's work and is a keen and sometimes critical observer of the charity's role in a changing world.
The lunch followed by his talk will take place on Friday 26th March in St Mabyn Village Hall.
As always, there will be a vegetarian option and the event will now start at 12.30pm for 1.00pm.
Proceeds will go to The Friends of St Mabyn Church - (Gift Aided donations welcome if you cannot attend).
Admission is £12 (£10 for Members) payable at the door.
For catering purposes it would be very much appreciated if you could please reserve a place in advance by contacting Audrey Cooke on 01208 841607 (audreycooke@live.com.)
