JAZZ ON THE GREEN
THE FRIENDS OF ST MABYN CHURCH
The 'Friends' are busy preparing for their fifth 'JAZZ ON THE
GREEN' (behind St Mabyn School) on Saturday July 10th
with the highly acclaimed Bodmin College Jazz Orchestra.
The performance starts at 6.30pm until 9pm. Entry is £5 for
adults and £3 for under 18s. Children under 6 years old FREE!
Disabled access.
The orchestra, led by their Musical Director Ben Vincent, are all
students at the College, and will perform for us fresh from their
tour of New York, where, on 1st July, they will have played on
the Central Park bandstand. These extremely talented young
people perform a wide range of music including Ellington, the
Beatles and Santana, to an extremely high standard, which is
recognised within Cornwall, the UK, and now the USA. You
can hear them on their website.
This is a very lively family occasion when the energetic dance,
kids have fun and everyone has a wonderful time. Please bring
chairs and picnics, as refreshments are not available on site.
In the (hopefully) unlikely event that it is wet, the Jazz (and
picnics) will take place in St Mabyn Church.
Enquiries 01208 841607.
