Watergate widow?

I have been contacted by Kris whose grandfather, Edwin Harry Cosway was married to Clara Cosway and lived in Cross Cottage in Respryn. He was a 1st Class Porter for the Great Western Railway and worked at Bodmin Road (Parkway) Station.
On the 31st July 1935 his body was found on the railway line beneath Respryn Railway Bridge. His head had been severed by a passing train.
The verdict of the Coroner's Inquest the following day was one of suicide.
It transpired that Edwin had been "visiting" a widow who lived at "Watergate, St. Mabyn". Rumour has it that she had two children, girls he believes but that is all he knows.
What he would like to do if at all possible is find out who the lady in question was. She admitted herself to a Plymouth hospital on the day of the inquest and could not be called to give evidence. He wonders whether perhaps she was pregnant with Edwin's child?
His intention is merely to find out WHY his grand father might have taken his own life. There is a third individual involved, Thomas Burge, could it have been a love triangle that went tragically wrong?
He would be HUGELY grateful for any help you could give. Does anyone know anything about the incident and feel able to give him more information?
