British Red Cross in Cornwall

Elizabeth Williams of St Mabyn is stepping down after six years of serving as both president and chief fund-raiser for the British Red Cross in Cornwall. She passed the reins onto Elizabeth Fortescue, the new president, and Caroline Rucker, the new chairman of the appeal committee.
Elizabeth said: "I shall be very sad to retire but I shall not lose contact.
In my six years as president, the most remarkable thing has been getting to know the volunteers.
Some of them have been working with the Red Cross for 40 or 50 years. It's humbling, really."
