St Mabyn Scout Group

“Scouts, Cubs & Beavers are meeting again on Wednesdays & Thursdays following the summer break with a few new recruits. The Scouts met at the Cheesewring to gain their climbing badge but unfortunately the bad weather prevented any climbing that day. They will be meeting at Roughtor soon to work towards their hiking badge so fingers crossed for better weather.
Congratulations to Tony Menhenitt for being chosen to attend the 100 year Scouting Jamboree. He spent 2 weeks in Cheltenham, a week in Sweden and gained his Friendship award.
Good news on the new amenity block - although we still need to raise more funds, building has commenced at last with Ivan Hewitt digging the drainage system for us”. If you are interested in supporting our group or joining as a member please contact Brian Farmer on 01208 841760.
