Car Boot Sale

Saturday 28th April in the Glebe Field [behind the cemetry]
Set up from 9am gates open from 10am - 12 midday.
Pitches are £4 single and £6 double.
The car boot sale will be advertised locally and also in the Cornish Guardian, hoping to attract the wider community and more potential buyers. So why not have a good sort out over the easter break and put on a good display!

Friends of St Mabyn Church

Monday 16th April 6.30 pm St Mabyn church. Joint lecture by Dr Jo Mattingley on the history of the churches of North Cornwall and Esther Dudley on local tombstones of interest. Tickets on the door £6 adults 16 and under £3 Wine and nibbles.

Coffee Morning

Village Hall

A barn dance was held on March 10th in aid of funds for the hall. Fifty people danced the jig with great hilarity (the less you knew about barn dancing the more fun it was!). £160 was raised from the event. The new oak floor was much appreciated. Thanks to Yvonne and Mike who organised the event.

Garden Club

The Garden Club will meet tonight 14th March at 7.30pm in the village hall. There will be a talk on Perennials.

Playing Field

The King George Playing Field in St Mabyn, with it's new football posts, continues to attract the youngsters into the field for a kickabout. The regular cutting of the grass by David Barnes has not gone unnoticed; many of the villagers have expressed their appreciation.

£151,000

English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded St Mabena Church £151,000. The award was part of a £17.6 million package for 153 churches and chapels across England.
