St. Tudy History Group

St. Tudy History Group Family History Research Day Who do you think you are? Come and join us on Saturday the 18th of June in the Village Hall - 10.00 – 4.00 and start the exciting journey of tracing your family history... If you would like to find out more about your family history, whether your ancestors lived in the Village or in another part of England or the World, come and join us and we will help you get started on your family history research. Our aim is to help you search through Births, Marriages and Deaths, and the 1911-1841 Census's in England and Wales, or even parish records if available, and then advice for further research that you can do to investigate even more of your family. If you are already researching your tree and have come up against a problem you can't solve, then please bring your information along, and we will see if we can help you break down that brick wall. We are also going to have displays on what the History Group are doing at the moment – Mapping out the Village through the centuries and the Churchyard, a display from the School on their History Project, and the Bligh family and current day descendants. There will also be access to St. Tudy family names from the 1500's to the present day, it is amazing how many families are still here in the area and surrounding villages. Call Pam – 01208 850450 for further information.
