Fatal Crash

A 19-year old male driving a red Astra has died after a collision with a 44-tonne articulated tanker on the the B3266 at Longstone
The accident took place around 9.30pm on Monday night. The road was closed overnight.
Police appealed for any witnesses to contact them on 08452 777444 quoting incident log 984 from January 26.

Possible date of 1957. He was one of the first people to have Heart Surgery - at Paddington General Hosp in 1961 and was only given 50:50 chance of survival. He did fine oil portraits of his family, pastel portraits, many watercolours of Cornish fishing ports as well as sign writing! He also painted the Mural in Wadebridge Town Hall.

Allotments St Mabyn

Proposed Allotments St Mabyn - Meeting Saturday 10th January in the Village Hall at12.00. Mr Allan Cavill S.W Area Representative from the National Allotment Association,and Mrs Jane Stowell-Smith from the Bodmin Allotment Association will be
present to listen to, and answer questions from interested Parishioners.

There is to be a meeting of the Village Hall next Wednesday 7 January at 7pm. On the agenda will be the decoration and new boiler for the Hall.
