Come and join in the St Mabyn Community Art Project for four Saturday afternoons from 24th February
I am running this 'Storybox' community art project with the theme of People and Place. It will be about St Mabyn (the place) and the story of how we (the people) all came to be here.
It is a textile art project, we are hoping to make a textile book which will fold out to make a long hanging panel. No drawing and only simple sewing skills needed (these can be learnt while you are there). Each person will work on their own small panel which will be joined to all of the others to make a large piece of work. All materials will be provided. Men and women and youths all welcome to take part All materials and refreshments provided.
It will be an enjoyable, informal, sociable event - a time for conversation and swapping stories about St Mabyn. It will run for four Saturday afternoons, 1pm until 4pm, from the 24th Feb and will take place in the village hall. You need to be aged over 10 and live in St Mabyn to take part (although parents of younger children can come to the first session and take the materials home for younger children to have a go if they want to)
Please sign up on the sheet in the Post Office (to give me an idea of numbers). See you on 24th February
The project is organised by Endelienta and funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund
